Time to introduce a few more ladies.
The women of Horizon Central are a motley mix of married and singles, middle-aged and mild-mannered youths, the gray-haired and the multiple-pierced all sharing fellowship together. Let us introduce a few of the ladies.
Ginger Kosobucki, pastor’s wife, married to Dave for almost 18 years. She’s been at Horizon Central since 1998. Before that, she and Dave were missionaries in Poland. She is still learning what it means to be a pastor’s wife. She occasionally has bad hair days, especially when it’s windy.
Florence Kosobucki, pastor’s mother. She became a christian at the tender age of 76. Seen here with Moriah & Sarah Murphy, who are still part of Horizon Central even though they live in Madison, IN. Florence, affectionately known as “Grammy” by many, loves children and is the best mother-in-law in the world.

Muriah, resident youth photographer, is hard at work on the trolley at the Indiana State Fair. She grew up in Fountain Square, and has come to Christ through the ministry of KIDS Inc. She has beaten all odds, and is soon to graduate from high school. We all love her and are proud of her growth in Christ.
Cassie Vawter, seen here with Eliza Kosobucki, eating one of her favorite things in the world. Her presence and ministry at Horizon Central is the missing puzzle piece, and we’d be missing many pieces if it weren’t for her. Her heart is for missions, ladies, prayer, God’s word, cleaning, the books, the building…need I say more?
Two of our up-and-coming Bible scholars, seen here after a late night sleepover. Presenting Miss Lilly Velazquez (right), and Miss Sofia Colón (left). God has done mighty miracles in the life of Sofi. We are constantly reminded of God’s goodness when we see her running around at church.
Amanda Skirvin, a member of the worship team, seen here doing one of her favorite things. Recently married (in November), her husband Dustin will be the beneficiary of all those jars of homemade salsa in the future. Amanda brings her many gifts to the body at Horizon Central, including singing, playing flute, being humble, cheerful and willing to do just about anything.
to Christ - in Christ - for Christ
Hello,
In viewing your website, you seem like a loving and welcoming church body. I found you by accident while searching for homeschool information. Curious though, you are an inner-city church but do you have many people of color in your congregation? And if not, is that something that you are working towards?
Thank you.
Ursula Lovett
Dear Ursula,
Thank you for your comment, and question. We are an inner-city church, and we are a rather motley group. There are some people of color, some hispanics, some punk rockers, some elderly, many kids, and lots in-between. We even have an African princess in our midst:) She is from Malawi.
Our desire is to be as motley and mixed-up as possible, b/c it gives us a taste of what heaven will be like.
Blessings,
Ginger Kosobucki
